Minimally Invasive Procedures

Dr. Nahai has been performing aesthetic and cosmetic procedures in Atlanta for more than a decade. Dr. Nahai performs surgery of the face, breast, and body and treats a variety of problems. Dr. Nahai also has a very active practice in injectables including Botox and fillers.

Cosmetic surgery may improve virtually any part of the body, and Dr. Nahai has expertise in treating the face, breast, and body with different surgical and non-invasive procedures. A formal consult involves a review of your history, a thorough exam and assessment, then a discussion of multiple solutions. Before and after photos are reviewed and digital imaging may be used to visualize possible outcomes. Dr. Nahai can help you to develop the best plan to get you where you want to go in a safe and effective manner.

Patients are increasingly gravitating towards non-invasive procedures to reduce the signs of aging in their face and body. These procedures are alternate solutions that deliver results without the risks associated with invasive surgery.

Non-Invasive Procedures

SculpSure is an FDA-cleared, non-invasive body contouring technology ideal for people with stubborn areas of fat, like the belly and love handles, that seem resistant to diet and exercise. In a short 25-minute procedure, the SculpSure laser targets and destroys fat cells under the skin by raising the temperature, while Contact CoolingTM protects the skin’s surface and keeps the patient comfortable.

The Ulthera System is an FDA-cleared, non-invasive aesthetic treatment that uses ultrasound energy to lift and tighten the skin naturally. Ultherapy is used to lift the skin on the eyebrow, under the chin, and neck, and to improve lines and wrinkles on the décolletage.

ThermiRF is an FDA-approved, non-surgical procedure that uses thermistor-regulated radio frequency energy to perform tightening of the skin and dissolving of fat. ThermiRF is used to reverse the signs of aging in the neck, lower face, and body.

Laser Treatments

Fractional CO2 Laser:

The Fractional CO2 Laser delivers all the benefits of ablative laser resurfacing without the harsh side effects typically experienced with CO2 lasers, as it vaporizes the tissue in small areas, leaving surrounding areas uninjured. The laser’s light energy encourages natural collagen production and decreases the appearance of wrinkles. More than one treatment is usually necessary to achieve optimal results.

Erbium-YAG Laser:

The Erbium-YAG Laser removes the upper layers of skin so that, upon healing, wrinkles are diminished. Patients who are treated with this laser often experience more rapid healing, but less dramatic results than those who opt for the Fractional CO2  laser. Dr. Nahai will be able to provide an estimate for the number of treatments you need.

Lyra Laser System:

The Lyra delivers light to the base of the hair follicles, destroying them permanently. As with all hair lasers, the Lyra laser targets the dark pigment of the hair follicle. Therefore, hair lasers will help remove dark hairs but not light hairs. As not all hair follicles are in a growth cycle at the same time, follow-up treatments to reach all hair follicles are typically required.

Q-YAG Laser:

The Q-YAG laser targets each individual brown spots and causes pigments to slough off the skin leaving normal-colored skin in its place. Minor irritation following treatment is common and it usually takes one to two weeks for the darker pigmentation to peel away.

The Q-YAG laser is also used for tattoo removal of black pigment may cause some skin irritation, light bleeding and blistering of the area, but sensitivity should last only a few days. Three to six treatments are usually needed to remove your tattoo. These treatments are spaced at least six weeks apart.

Gemini and KTP Lasers:

The Gemini and KTP Lasers are commonly used to treat broken blood vessels and vascular lesions. Patients often see results within four to six weeks following treatment with the Gemini and KTP lasers. Typically two treatments are all that is required to achieve significant improvement in broken blood vessels and patients experience only mild discomfort during the brief procedure.

Facial Peels

TCA, Salicylic Acid, Jessner, and Melange Chemical Peels:

TCA, Salicylic Acid, Jessner and Melange chemical peels are used to treat acne, fine wrinkles, minor skin discoloration and sun damage.  The amount of sun damage to your skin and what kind of down time you can do will help us pick the peel that is right for you.
